The VII Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party, held on March 5, is a timely socio-political event in the context of a new reality for our statehood, which has entered a new historical stage with multifaceted reforms in our country over the past three years. The main factor in the new reality is the successful domestic and foreign policy pursued by the head of state, who further developed the ideas of our national leader Heydar Aliyev, strengthened Azerbaijan as an independent state and made it a leading and influential country in the region and by using our economic achievements restored our territorial integrity as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War.

The new reality has made it necessary to create a flexible management mechanism to regulate the activities of the YAP. During the 29 years since its establishment, the YAP has been a leading ideological body in protecting and strengthening our state independence in accordance with the Program and Charter, its worthy place in the modern international system.

The historical achievements of Azerbaijan over the past 17 years have been a period of preparation for the supposed Patriotic War of our young country. In the words of President Ilham Aliyev, "All these years we have lived by one goal: the restoration of our territorial integrity, the expulsion of enemies from our lands."

It is no coincidence that the feelings of love for the Motherland of the young generation brought up for this cause liberated our lands from the enemy, "We have entered a new era. The situation in the region and our country is completely new.

Let the Azerbaijani flag always be high ”

At a time when Azerbaijan has entered a new era, issues related to the restoration of Karabakh are making various adjustments to the plans. The political dialogue that began especially at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War yielded good results in a short period of time. With the exception of the anti-national council, which calls itself a political body, all parties, all political forces have shown a tendency to dialogue and dialogue has taken place. Of course, there can be no different opinion on national issues such as the Karabakh issue, the activities of

political parties, the development of democracy, the establishment of economic freedoms, the strengthening of our country.

Emphasizing his interest in the continuation of political dialogue and its importance for the future political system of the country, the President"s speech at the party"s congress also sets the task of deepening. As everyone already knows, the accession of 6 political parties to the YAP at the VII Congress of the party is a clear example of the beginning of a new stage of development of national solidarity against the background of the new reality in the country.

The VII Congress has shown that the ruling party, which has been leading the political process for 29 years since its establishment, is entering its 30th anniversary in a more active, renewed format. Establishment of the post of First Deputy Chairman of the Party, bringing the First Vice-President of the Republic, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva to the post of First Deputy, expansion of the Board, inclusion of new names in the Board of Directors, formed in the NGO sector, socio-political and cultural environment, bringing known and unrecognized politicians to power, establishing a Veterans Council while maintaining a balance between the old and new generations of politicians, shows that the party will be able to cope with the responsibilities set before it.
