Dissertation councils
DISSERTATION COUNCILS HAVE BEEN ESTABLISHED
Systematic and consistent measures taken by President Ilham Aliyev have led to positive changes in the preparation of highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel, accelerated the integration of Azerbaijani science in the international scientific community and the improvement of the relevant regulatory framework. Sumgayit State University also carries out purposeful work to implement a number of scientific projects and introduce innovations into science and education, which contributes to the development of the scientific, technical and educational base of the university. By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2018, the Dissertation Council FD.02.193 was created for the first time in the history of the Sumgayit State University to organize the defense of doctoral dissertations in specialties 3337.01 - “Information-measuring and control systems” (on fields) and 3303.01 - “Chemical technology and engineering”.
As a continuation of this success at Sumgayit State University by the decision of the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (protocol 14-R) dated 27.12.2019, Dissertation councils for the defense of doctoral dissertations were created in 6 specialties: Dissertation Council FD2.23 (for specialties 2306.01 – “Organic chemistry”, 2314.01 – “Petrochemistry”) and the Dissertation Council FD2.25 (for specialties 3337.01 - “Information-measuring systems and control systems”, 3338.01 - “Systemic analysis, management and processing information”).
