On November 30, Ufa State Petroleum Technological University celebrated its 70th jubilee.

Corporate evenings were held with the demonstration of “AZBUZAT” and “OSCAR” spectacles for guests and employees of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University on occasion of the jubilee, by the organization of State Academic Russian Drama Theatre and National Youth Theatre named after M.Karim.

Acting president of Bashkortostan Republic R.F.Khabirov hailed the guests, congratulated them and presented congratulatory letter to Bakhtizin, the rector of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University. Afterwards, Rector Ramil Bakhtizin expressed his gratitude firstly to President of Russian Federation V.V.Putin, then to students, lecturers, veterans and all workers and commenced the event. Ministers, embassy representatives, members of parliament, institution heads, state organizations, scientists and others congratulated Rector R.N.Bakhtizin. The guests from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Angola, Hungary, Vietnam, Germany, India, China, Czech Republic, and Sweden took part in the anniversary. Sumgayit State University was represented in the event by rector, Azerbaijani co-chairman of Association of Russian-Azerbaijani Universities Professor Elkhan Huseynov, vice-rector on Teaching Organization and Training Technologies docent Natig Talibov, vice-rector on Economic Issues Naib Hajiyev and dean of the Faculty of Economics and management docent Aynura Yahyayeva.

Rector of SSU Professor Elkhan Huseynov congratulated 70th anniversary of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University on behalf of collective of Sumgayit State University. He noted: “Ufa State Petroleum Technological University prepares qualified specialists in Russia, by searching for modern teaching methods and applying recent educational technologies. High intellectual potential of lecturers and workers of the University leads to active participation of USPTU in the advancement of science and innovation in Russia. I wish your university to have always high status and reputation. Your collective could succeed to implement different plans, ideas and projects. I want to thank You for close cooperation and relation between us for the development of our universities. I wish health, happiness, joy, goodwill, inspiration and prosperity to the collective of your university”.

It is worth to note that Ufa State Petroleum Technological University was instituted on October 4, 1948 and has 7 faculties. It is among top 30 Russian universities in education of international students.
