On October 30, the presentation of “Bir” Student-volunteer program by Ministry of Education was held at Sumgayit State University for I course students.

Head of the Student Trade Unions Committee Nemat Ibayev launched the event and gave information about “Bir” Student-volunteer program. He notified that the program was established with the initiative of Ministry of Education for creating unique student volunteer base, systemizing the organization of the work with volunteer students and stimulating their participation in volunteer programs. Student-volunteers play significant role in organization and implementation of large-scaled events in our country. He spoke about active participation of volunteer students of Sumgayit State University in international and republican events and called every student be active like them.

The coordinator of the program Agha Salimov informed about “Bir” Student-volunteer program, essence of voluntariness in our country, main directions of the program, participation opportunities of program activity and advantages of being volunteer.

The presenter of the presentation Ali Faig Mirza called students to join to “Bir” Student-volunteer program. He pointed out that this program will give a chance to youth to closely participate at international sports contests and state events, to live an advantageous student life and to gain new friends.

Afterwards, the report of “Bir” Student-volunteer program on 2018 and video of volunteers were displayed.

Following the presentation, the video about “Bir” Student-volunteer program was demonstrated, interesting plays were run, and the students’ questions about the program were responded. During the presentations the students shared their thoughts about voluntariness.
