OUR TEAM AWARDED WITH CERTIFICATE IN V REPUBLICAN KNOWLEDGE CONTEST “HEYDAR ALIYEV AND AZERBAIJANI HISTORY”
On October 18, V Republican knowledge contest “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani history” was held at Heydar Aliyev Center.
At first, State anthem sounded in the event, video about speech of great leader Heydar Aliyev on youth was displayed.
The project, implemented with organization of Heydar Aliyev Center and support of Ministry of Education aims to learn life and activity of National leader Heydar Aliyev, keep his heritage alive and increase the interest of young generation to knowledge competitions and education in general.
It was noted in the event that Republican competition “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani history” has been organized annually since 2014. It is not coincidence to hold the contest on October 18 –State Independence Day. 27 years have passed since restoration of state independence of Azerbaijan Republic as a successor of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s advent to power by the demand of nation in 1993 commenced stability and advancement in the country. Modern Azerbaijan grew in all fields under administration of Heydar Aliyev.
V Republican knowledge competition “Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani history” were attended by teams of 47 higher education institutions.
Afterwards, the video reflecting preparation of students to the contest was demonstrated. The competition was held in 3 rounds, each of which contained 12 questions on Azerbaijani history, culture and heritage of National leader Heydar Aliyev. Winning teams were determined for sum of gained scores on rounds and were awarded. It worth be noted that the team of Sumgayit State University was awarded with certificate in the contest.
The jury comprised representatives of Heydar Aliyev Center, Ministry of Education and History Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
