On September 10, a meeting was held at American Centre of Azerbaijan University of Languages within the framework of “Fulbright” project. Chairwoman of International Cooperation Office of Sumgayit State University PhD on history Samira Mammadova, head of the Department of Foreign languages Professor Nigar Isgandarova, head of International Students Office Sudaba Mammadova and laboratory worker of the Department of Azerbaijani language and its teaching methods Nihad Huseynov took part in the event. 
Relations were established among higher educational institutions participating at the project, American Embassy and the foreign representatives on the program. The purpose of the meeting was the presentation of American Centre and reinforcement of cooperation among project participants.
It should be noted that Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Gymnasium of Humanitarian subjects named after Pishavari and Lyceum of Physics, mathematics and informatics sciences are taking part in the project this year.
Sumgayit State University has been participating in the project for the third year.
