On June 11, “Open door” day in exam session of spring semester of 2017-2018 academic year was held by the participation of members of Public Control and Advisory Board at Sumgayit State Technical College under Sumgayit State University.
Head of Sumgayit State Technical College docent Matanat Pirguliyeva accepted the guests and gave wide information about the College. She notified that according to Order dated 04.03.2016 № 130 by Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan about execution of Order dated 03.02.2016 № 30 by Cabinet of Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sumgayit State Technical College was attached to Sumgayit State University. Sumgayit State Technical College is an educational institution under Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan Republic, realizing preparation of sub-bachelor specialists with secondary special education. Internship is realized in Ethylene Polyethylene Plant of “Azerchemistry” production Unit of SOCAR, Polymer Materials Institute of ANAS, Sumgayit Passenger OSC, Sumgayit “North” Regional Electrical Network, Sumgayit Education Department, Sumgayit “Inter Textile” OSC and “Nursoft” LLC according to signed agreements.
Docent Matanat Pirguliyeva informed about organization of exams and noted that examinations of spring semester at the college are held according to Order dated January 11, 2018 № 9 on making amendments to Order “Rules of teaching organization with credit system at secondary special education institutions” dated December 26, 2013 № 354 of Cabinet of Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan and on verification of Order “Rules of teaching organization with credit system at secondary special education institutions” dated December 26, 2013 № 354. Exam headquarters has been established at the college by the Order dated 15.05.2018 № 32-k guided by Order dated 14.05.2018 № F-354 by Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Education of Azerbaijan Republic for holding exam session of spring semester according to existing rules and providing transparency and objectivity in evaluation of students’ knowledge. A box for “Suggestions and comments” is hung at the college in order to avoid negative situations during the exams. Docent Matanat Pirguliyeva also noted that students are informed about their scores till the exams. Exam papers are encoded by the Exam Commission just after the exam and they are checked and announced at the same day. According to education plan, exam session in all specialties will be held from June 1 to July 1. 283 exams will be held at the college in 150 subjects in 11 specialties according to education plan of spring semester.
Then, deputy director for Educational issues Asad Gurbanov, members of Public Control and Advisory Board, representatives of mass media observed the exams. The observers noted that exams are well organized.
It should be noted that director of Sumgayit State Technical College docent Matanat Pirguliyeva keeps the exams under the control and regularly visits exam halls. She meets working group, talks to invigilators and listens to their opinions, suggestions and comments.
