On May 30, the event on “Manifesto of a life” was held dedicated to outstanding writer, literary critic and pedagogue Mir Jalal Pashayev.
The pupils of Mir Jalal, literary critics Tahsin Mutallimov, Abdulla Abbasov, Ifrat Aliyeva and Jalil Naghiyev participated in the event.
Rector of SSU Professor Elkhan Huseynov greeted guests and attendees, widely spoke about heritage of great writer Mir Jalal Pashayev, his services for the development of Azerbaijani science and education and for preparation of qualified cadres. He noted that celebration of his anniversary in our country and abroad indicates the value given to Azerbaijani literature and intellectual. Mir Jalal Pashayev who has a special place in XX century Azerbaijani literature and culture devoted his whole creativity to the growth of our culture, literature and education. His stories, novels and the works of other genres are of great interest for richness of the themes, language and style. Rector also emphasized that he will be always commemorated as a prominent scientist, pedagogue and intellectual by our people. Since his works are actual for any period. 
The pupils of Mir Jalal, scholars Tahsin Mutallimov, Abdulla Abbasov, Ifrat Aliyeva and Jalil Naghiyev delivered speech and shared their memories. They noted that he was a realist writer, as well as a real teacher who trained lots of philologists. Mir Jalal had an individual and unique style. But he can be considered successor of XX century realists like Jalil Mammadgulizade and Abdurrahim bey Hagverdiyev for his literary principles. The main artistic content of his works is that they reflect the truth of life regardless of their structure and gain people's sympathy.
Afterwards, the professor of Department of Azerbaijani and foreign countries’ literature Professor Avtandil Mammadov delivered presentation on “Mir Jalal and national and spiritual values” and Professor Rafig Aliyev on “Prominent literary critic and master of stories”. The speakers gave information about the place of Mir Jalal Pashayev in the history of Azerbaijani literature and his contributions made to our science as a scientist. 
A spectacle “I will throw, but not sell” (“İtə ataram, yada satmaram”) of Mir Jalal Pashayev was demonstrated by the students. The video about his life and creations was displayed in the event. 
The poem “The teacher of teachers” by Professor Avtandil Mammadov dedicated to the memory of Mir Jalal Pashayev was recited at the end of the event.
