On May 17, XVIII Republican scientific conference of master students launched at Sumgayit State University dedicated to 95th anniversary of National leader Heydar Aliyev. 
At first, attendants laid flowers at the bust of Great leader in the University and commemorated him with honor. 
The following people took part in the conference: vice-rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Ilham Pirmammadov, vice-rector of Baku Engineering University Elchin Suleymanov, head of the Doctorate and master programs Office of Baku State University Afat Mammadova, head of the Doctorate and master programs Office of Azerbaijan Technical University Elchin Rzayev, head of the Science Office of Azerbaijan Technical University Islam Islamov, head of the Master programs Office of Baku Slavic University Sevinj Abishova, head of the Master Department of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Gabil Manafov, deputy chairman of that Department Alirza Mammadov, dean of the Master Department of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry Azizagha Gurbanov, head of the Master Department of Odlar Yurdu University Samira Valiyeva and master students representing higher educational institutions and scientific-research institutions of our Republic. 
Rector of University Professor Elkhan Huseynov commenced the conference by welcome speech, greeted the guests and noted that our University hosts this conference for the 18th time and it stimulates scientific activity of young researchers and spoke about significance of the works done in the direction of development of education and science in Azerbaijan under the power of National leader Heydar Aliyev. Education has always been a strategic field during his first and second administration and Heydar Aliyev evaluated its role in the improvement of people and the country. Growth of our education, its integration to European standards is related with his name. Generally, development of education is an essential part of development conception of every country. Azerbaijan is among these countries. The reforms conducted in this field show that Azerbaijan is eager to be among developed countries. The attention and care of President Ilham Aliyev to the progress of education confirms that this factor has been included in substantial principles of state policy and is not only limited with the capital, but also covers regions. Heydar Aliyev Foundation, its chairwoman, first vice president of the country Mehriban Aliyeva also has a substantial role in successful realization of development strategy of education. This strategy contributes to education system in the country, increases scientific-intellectual potential and positively impacts the formation of creative thinking in the society. 
Rector emphasized the importance of the conference and notified that attracting students to scientific-research work is one of the main affairs of higher educational institutions. Progress in the number of participants taking part in Republican scientific conference of Master students shows significance of the conference. Elkhan Huseynov pointed out that 1323 master students from 16 universities participated in XVII Republican scientific conference in 2017, but this year 1700 reports from 25 educational institutions were accepted to the conference, 1546 of them were included in the agenda of the conference and conference materials were published as a bulk. This attendance is an indicator of increased interest of the master students to scientific conferences and at the same time productive activity of Organizing Committee of the conference. 527 master students of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, 274 students of Azerbaijan State University of Economics, 261 of Sumgayit State University, 183 of Baku Slavic University, 64 of Nakhchivan State University, 51 of Odlar Yurdu University, and 43 of Ganja State University took an active part in the conference. 
Vice-rector of Azerbaijan Technical University Ilham Pirmammadov, head of the Doctorate and master programs Office of Baku State University Afat Mammadova, Professor of SSU Hasan Sadiqov delivered speech and spoke about organization of the conference at a high level, attraction of the youth to scientific-research work and contributions of Great leader Heydar Aliyev to the growth of our education system and conducted educational reforms. 
The following persons delivered presentations: master student of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Gunash Abbasova on “Research of methods and models of intellectual systems”, master student of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry Nurlan Malikov “Establishment of modeling system of dynamic objects in MATLAB medium”, student of Sumgayit State University Gasim Baylarov “Synthesis of 2.6 dimethylphenol”, student of Baku Slavic University Umukhanim Museyibove “Linguistics in modern stage”,  master student of Odlar Yurdu University Alim Babazade “Automated system preventing falling asleep at work” and gave wide information about their university and topic. 
Head of the Doctorate and Master programs Office Sabir Khalilov informed about conclusions of the conference and noted that it will continue 2 days on 19 sections; master students who delivered speech in section meetings will be presented certificates of Sumgayit State University.
