Presentation of Mevlana Exchange Program

On February 2, presentation of Mevlana Exchange Program was held in Sumgayit State University for professor-teaching staff.
In the presentation, vice-rector for Science and innovations Professor Ramazan Mammadov delivered speech focusing on significance of “Mevlana Exchange Program” which aims student and professor-teaching staff exchange among universities of Turkic-speaking countries. He noted that the exchange program has been established by Council of Higher Education of Turkey and is financed by Republic of Turkey. Main target here is to learn quality education and international experience. Professor also noted that professor-teaching staff’s participation in exchange programs is prerequisite for development of university cadre potential. Realization of Mevlana Exchange program is also essential to development of international relations of SSU. In the framework of this program it is possible for teachers and students of Turkish high schools to intern and continue their study abroad and vice versa. Professor Ramazan Mammadov also emphasized that SSU joined to the program in 2015 and signed exchange protocols with 8 state universities of Turkey.
Methodologist of International Cooperation Department Samira Karimova gave broad information about the program. Moreover, the presentation reflected terms of participation, scholarships, documentations and information about Turkish universities.
Then, teacher of history and its methodology department Samir Karimli gave detailed information about his two weeks’ exchange experience in Adnan Menderes University of Turkey.
After the speech, head of International Cooperation Department Samira Mammadova also informed teachers about international exchange programs and invited teachers to benefit from those kinds of programs.
Vice-rector for Humanitarian issues Ramiz Huseynov also expressed his opinion on the program and wished that students also could participate in such programs.
The event continued with discussion of questions.
