Series of events dedicated to Independence Day of Azerbaijan went on at the faculty of Physics and electroenergetics and the faculty of Chemistry and biology. 
The event commenced with sounding of State Anthem of Azerbaijan Republic. The deans of faculties Tamella Ahmadova, Mahal Muradov and docent of department of Biology and its teaching methods Khanahmad Hasanov gave speeches and congratulated attendants on occassion of Independence day. They notified that, Constitution act was adopted on sovereignity of Azerbaijan on October 18, 1991. Our people reached to independence which they desired for many years. Azerbaijan Republic that newly declared its independence started its activity in complex historical situation, at early years of sovereignty, our people faced with the danger of losing it. History always proves that, preserving independence is much more difficult than to gain it. Thanks to great leader’s decisive policy, wisdom and perspicacity, sovereignty of our republic was preserved, strenghtened and became to be irreversible, eternal and steady. Legal and democratic state establishment was commenced in the country, steady socio-political stability achieved. Today we can resolutely notify that, Independent Azerbaijan Republic is the masterpiece of great leader Heydar Aliyev.
The following students made speeches: Leyla Maharramova, Qivami Safaraliyev and Mahabbat Huseynov. They spoke about obstacles which were on the way of Azerbaijan in early years of independence and their removal, as well as steps explored for the improvement of the state.
The event went on with patriotic poems and songs, the video was demonstrated on subject .
