On April 29, Head of the State Control Sector of Natural Monopolies of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Supervision under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rovshan Jamalov delivered an educational lecture to teachers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumgayit State University (SSU). The event on the topic “Competition Authority: Directions of Activity and Main Functions” was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Associate Professor Logman Abdullayev, expressing his belief that the cooperation of the State Agency for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Supervision with SSU will have a positive impact on the activities of today’s students, future economists, and managers. The Dean who invited teachers and students to ask questions on issues of interest to them during the lecture, emphasized that he had no doubt that similar events would be held in the future and that the logical conclusion of the cooperation would be fruitful. Rovshan Jamalov began his lecture on the topic “Competition Code: Presentation of Regulatory Methods and Modern Approaches” with information about the directions of activity of the State Agency, the principles of competition policy. The lecture also touched upon the advantages of the Competition Code, the main directions of competition regulations, state regulations in the field of natural monopoly, and measures of state control over compliance with competition legislation. Along with SSU employees - Director of the Educational Methodological Center, Associate Professor Elnara Mammadova, Head of the Department of Business Management, Associate Professor Galib Huseynov, as well as other teachers, the students received answers to their questions.
