On the occasion of the World Aviation and Cosmonautics Day on April 12, a scientific and educational event entitled “Towards the Stars: Youth Summit” was held jointly organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Sumgayit State University and the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasireddin Tusi. The event took place at the Tusi-Bohm Planetarium. In this space equipped with modern technologies, participants gained new knowledge by obtaining interesting information about the field of astronomy. Students studying in the specialty of physics teacher education took part in scientific discussions, obtained information about current directions of space research and further strengthened their theoretical knowledge.
Then the documentary film “Towards the Universe” was shown.
