On April 14, a seminar entitled “Teacher’s Apprentice - Curriculum” was held for students jointly organized by the Career and Alumni Center of Sumgayit State University (SSU) and EDU Company Education Company. First, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played and a minute of silence was observed in memory of those who died for the territorial integrity of our Motherland. Opening the seminar with an introductory speech, the Director of the Center, Anar Dunyamaliyev spoke about the purpose and importance of the event and provided information about the innovations taking place in the modern education system and the projects implemented in this direction at Sumgayit State University. He spoke about the cooperation with EDU Company and the SDU-EDU Preparatory Center, which began operating at the university within the framework of this cooperation. He especially emphasized the work done to form a student-oriented environment at the university. He noted that the SDU-EDU Preparatory Center offers wide opportunities for students. The center organizes office programs, foreign language training, master’s and teachers’ recruitment preparatory courses. Currently, master’s training is carried out on a free basis, which supports the professional development of students. The Director of the SSU Teaching Methodological Center, Associate Professor Elnara Mammadova emphasized the importance of the seminar and called on students to make the most of the opportunities created by the university administration. She noted that the success of each student is an integral part of the overall success and wished all students success in this direction. The Director of the Sumgayit branch of EDU Company Education Company, Omur Amirov provided information about the activities of the center he leads and the services provided. Then, Coordinator of the EDU Company Education Company for the Curriculum, Elgun Huseynov, and Trainer of the Curriculum for Preschool Education, Roya Gulaliyeva spoke and provided extensive information about the essence of the curriculum, its role in the learning process, the importance of a student-centered approach, and modern teaching methods. The seminar continued with interactive discussions, questions of interest to students were answered, and views were exchanged on the topic. Then, Curriculum Trainer and SSU graduate, Zeynab Mammadova made a presentation on the topic of “Logical Errors”. Coordinator of the SDU-EDU Preparation Center, Laman Huseynova provided additional information about the center’s activities. At the end of the seminar, participants were presented with 20 percent discount coupons.
