Teachers and students of Sumgayit State University participated in an international competition
On April 7, the “Poetry Reading in Eastern Languages” competition was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, as part of the international events “In the Space of Eastern Intercultural Dialogue” organized by the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abay and the Ministry of Science and Education of Kazakhstan. The main goal of the competition is to promote the literary heritage of the East, develop language and intercultural communication skills, as well as identify and support talented young people. The event was organized in a hybrid format, both in person and online. Teachers and students of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumgayit State University also actively participated in the international competition. Saadat Humbataliyeva, associate professor of the Department of Accounting and Economics of the university, was elected a member of the jury of the competition. More than 30 students and graduate students from a number of higher and secondary educational institutions, including Kilis Aralik University from the Republic of Türkiye, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Shekerim University and Abay Kazakh National Pedagogical University from Kazakhstan, as well as the Institute of Art and Culture from Uzbekistan, participated in the competition. Three students from the 782nd group of the Faculty of Economics and Management of Sumgayit State University participated as participants from the Republic of Azerbaijan. Miryusif Huseynov recited the poems "Azərbaycan, Azərbaycan!" by Ahmad Javad, Ziver Mammadzade recited the poems "Heyif ki yoxdur" by Molla Panah Vagif, and Ibrahimov Rafael recited the poems "Oğlum Məhəmmədə nəsihət" by Nizami Ganjavi.
