By a joint decision of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Science and Education Workers, an artistic creativity competition-festival dedicated to the 103rd anniversary of the birth of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev has been launched. The main goal of this project, which has been organized for 21 years, is to instill in young people a spirit of national patriotism, to educate them in the spirit of respect for our culture, art and traditions, and to form their artistic and aesthetic tastes. At the same time, the project supports the identification of talented young people in various fields of art and the development of their creative potential. The preview competition held at Sumgayit State University on April 2 was jointly organized by the Student Trade Union Committee and the Artistic Creativity Sector of the university. Within the framework of the competition, the poems recited by the students, the local and foreign musical numbers they performed, as well as the dance compositions they presented, were watched by the jury. The jury of the competition included People's Artists Samir Jafarov, Gulyanag Mammadova, Tarana Muradova, Honored Artist Rashad Hashimov, Honored Art Worker Baba Veziroglu. The jury highly appreciated the performances of the participants and especially noted their creative potential. The event was remembered for the activity and interesting performances of the students. It should be noted that the final concert program with the participation of the winners of the festival will be held in May. The winners will be awarded with honorary certificates and valuable gifts.
