On April 1, students of Sumgayit State University participated in the event “The Road to Victory - 10 Years” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the April battles at the Sumgayit State Drama Theater. The event jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Public Union for Support to Mothers of Martyrs, began with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs. Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played. A video clip dedicated to the memory of our martyrs was shown. At the event, the responsible employee of the Sumgayit City Executive Power, Farman Kazimov, MPs Elnara Akimova and Rizvan Nabiyev spoke about the importance of the April battles and the heroism of our martyrs. Also, the chairman of the Public Union for Support to Martyr Mothers, Jeyran Hasanova, and a participant in the April battles, veteran Ahliyyat Mehdiyev shared their memories.

The artistic part of the event continued with an interesting program.
