These days, as in other parts of the world, a series of events are being organized at Sumgayit State University (SSU) on the occasion of International Women's Day. On March 5, an intellectual competition called “Delicate Intelligence” was held among female students dedicated to March 8 - International Women's Day, organized by the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC) of SSU at the Library Information Center of Sumgayit State University. Before the competition, Acting Rector of SSU, Corresponding Member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov made a speech and sincerely congratulated the female students on the occasion of this significant day. He noted that the Azerbaijani woman has a special position in society. She is a kind mother, a caring wife, and a person who performs responsible duties in various fields and in public administration with dignity. Aminaga Sadigov also emphasized that getting a good education and the knowledge and skills acquired at the university he attends follow a person throughout his life. Thanks to this knowledge, your worldview expands, your intellectual level is formed. It is precisely as a result of this that the recent achievements of our graduates are highly appreciated, and this is a source of great pride for our university. At the end of his speech, he wished success to the female students participating in the competition and wished them success in their future activities. Then, the chairman of the STUC, Elmin Novruzlu made a speech and informed the participants about the conditions and rules of the competition. He said that 7 teams participated in the intellectual competition, which consisted of three stages and 12 questions in each stage. Then the competition started. In the competition, which was held in a tense and interesting competitive environment, the team of the Faculty of History and Geography took first place, the team of the Faculty of Magistracy took second place, and the team of the Faculty of Economics and Management took third place. Finally, the winning teams were presented with a cup, honorary diplomas and gifts.
