A book co-authored by Rashad Salimov has been published
The book “Ethnobotany of the Caucasus”, co-authored by Associate Professor Rashad Salimov, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Sumgayit State University, has been published by the prestigious Springer Nature publishing house.
The scientific editors of the publication are R. W. Bussmann, N. Y. Paniagua-Zambrana and Z. Kikvidze. The book provides comprehensive information on more than 1,200 plant and about 100 mushroom species distributed in the Caucasus region and the countries included in this region. Along with modern scientific knowledge about the taxonomy, local names, ecology and distribution areas of the species, an overview of their historical use is given, and the results of the latest scientific research conducted in the field of plant use in the region are also reflected. It should be noted that Associate Professor Rashad Salimov is a co-author of 51 chapters included in the book, dedicated to various plant species.
