On December 24, the final stage of the inter-student volleyball competition dedicated to the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day was held at Sumgayit State University (SSU). The competition, which was jointly organized by the SSU Student Trade Union Committee and the university's Sports Club, was met with great interest by the students. According to the results of the games, the team of the Faculty of Natural Sciences was awarded the first place, the Faculty of History and Geography the second place, and the Faculty of Engineering the third place. Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations of SSU, Associate Professor Elmar Khalilov spoke at the award ceremony, emphasized that the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day is a symbol of national unity and solidarity. He noted that various scientific, cultural and sports-oriented events are organized at the university throughout the year, and the final stage of the inter-student volleyball competition is an integral part of this series. He noted that such competitions serve to strengthen solidarity, team spirit and a healthy competitive environment. At the end, the winning teams were awarded with certificates of honor and prizes.
