A meeting held with writer and psychologist Rovshan Abdullaoglu
On December 22, a meeting with the well-known writer and psychologist Rovshan Abdullaoglu was held at Sumgayit State University (SSU) jointly organized by the Department of Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology, the Student Youth Organization, and the "Gadim Gala" publishing house. The event was attended by the university's faculty and students. Opening the meeting with an introductory speech, Shohlet Ikhtiyaroglu, a representative of the "Gadim Gala" publishing house, emphasized that such meetings play an important role in shaping the worldview of students, developing reading culture and literary taste. Speaking about the importance of author-reader meetings, she noted that books, authors and readers are always treated with great respect at Sumgayit State University. Shohlet Ikhtiyaroglu also noted that the cooperation established between SSU and the "Gadim Gala" publishing house continues successfully, spoke about the development of the book industry in the world, and provided detailed information about the activities of the publishing house he leads and the projects implemented. Then, the well-known writer and psychologist Rovshan Abdullaoglu met with the students and provided information about his life path, creative activity and writing experience. He said that he began his creative activity with journalistic writings, and over time he preferred fiction and other genres. The writer noted that the main themes in his works are human psychology, the search for truth, the inner world of man and the problems that concern him. In his speech, Rovshan Abdullaoglu spoke about the importance of choosing the right specialty, the psychological difficulties young people face in their family and social environment, as well as the paths of personal and professional development. He advised young people to correctly assess their potential, discover their inner capabilities, and develop purposefully. The writer, speaking about his works, touched upon the subtleties of artistic creativity and explained with specific examples how literature and psychology complement each other. The meeting, which took place in an atmosphere of sincere and intellectual discussions, aroused great interest among the students and continued in a question-and-answer format.
