On December 17, an introductory meeting was organized at Sumgayit State University (SSU) with teachers appointed to the position of Senior Lecturer during the current year. Acting Rector of SSU, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Aminaga Sadigov attended the meeting. Aminaga Sadigov opened the event with an introductory speech and congratulated the teachers promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer and noted that this appointment represents not only an academic achievement but also a greater responsibility and commitment. Aminaga Sadigov emphasized that the continuous development of the teaching process and achievement of its quality are among the main strategic priorities of SSU. According to him, in the modern era, the global scientific and educational environment is rapidly changing, and SSU must continuously improve its activities to respond effectively to these evolving challenges. In his speech, Aminaga Sadigov addressed the impact of artificial intelligence on society and the higher education system, noting that technological innovations have already become an integral part of the educational process. In this regard, it is particularly important for teachers to make effective use of modern technological advantages and to continuously develop their digital skills. A.Sadigov spoke about the key responsibilities of the teachers appointed to the position of senior lecturer, emphasizing the importance of information and communication technology skills, as well as foreign language proficiency, for improving the quality of education. It was noted that the integration of the academic staff into the international scientific community, the use of foreign scientific resources, and active participation in international cooperation make a significant contribution to strengthening the university’s scientific potential. The meeting continued in an atmosphere of mutual exchange of views.
