A joint lesson on the topic “Kipling Method in Modern Education” held
On December 18, a joint lesson on the topic “Kipling Method in Modern Education” (5W1H), dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding representative of world literature, Nobel Prize laureate Rudyard Kipling, was held at the Faculty of Philology. The lesson was conducted by Saadat Khalilova, senior lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages, and Aynura Bagirova, senior lecturer of the Department of Language and Literature. At the event, Kipling’s life and work were presented on the basis of modern teaching approaches, and the possibilities of applying the 5W1H method in the pedagogical process were demonstrated. During the lesson, which was held in an interactive format, special attention was paid to the development of students’ analytical and critical thinking, and skills in working with text. The lesson, which was important in terms of interdisciplinary integration and innovative learning strategies, increased students’ interest in the topic and concluded with a reflection stage. The event was attended by Associate Professor Gunel Pashayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Jala Mammadova, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor Boyukkhanim Eminli, Head of the Department of Language and Literature, and the faculty's teaching staff.
