On December 19, within the framework of the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty”, an educational event on the topic “Legal Thought and National Values in Education” was organized by the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Teaching Technology and the Department of Educational Technologies Development.
The event began with the playing of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the dear memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, the head of the department, associate professor Maftun Heydarova, noted that the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” is of special importance in the educational environment. She emphasized the importance of forming the legal thinking of the younger generation, systematically instilling national-moral values and ideas of sovereignty in the educational process. The associate professor spoke on the topic “Formation of legal culture in the younger generation: creative ways in education” and spoke about the role of innovative and interactive approaches in legal education.
Then the interactive part of the event was held. Under the leadership of Irana Abdullayeva, head of the Department of Educational Technologies Development, students presented the topic “Right or Duty?” was demonstrated. Then, student discussions and debates were organized on the topics of "Law Box" and "Voice of Law".
The event was educational for both students and teachers. During the discussions, students actively participated and showed interest in the topic.
At the end of the event, based on the results of the debate, the winning team was awarded an honorary diploma by the decision of the jury.
