A delegation of several prestigious universities of Malaysia visited Sumgayit State University (SSU) within the framework of the education fair to be held on November 29-30. The delegations of 4 higher education institutions, as well as SEGi University, Sunway University, Taylor’s University and the director of the Lingva Training Center attended at the meeting.
Acting rector of SSU, corresponding member of ANAS, professor Aminaga Sadigov welcomed the guests and noted the role that international academic relations play in global development. He emphasized that Malaysia's successes in the fields of education and technological innovations are a global example, and noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to strengthening international cooperation. Aminaga Sadigov stated that internalization at SSU is one of the priorities of the university and expanding the relations in this direction are of great importance. He noted that there is a great potential to implement joint academic initiatives and student-teacher exchange, dual degree programs, scientific-research projects. During the meeting, information was provided about educational programs of SSU, and the possibilities were discussed about creating joint research and internship programs, especially in the field of energy. The professor emphasized that future cooperation can contribute to innovative research, scientific interaction and regional partnership.
A Malaysian student at SSU, Amina Girshini Praburam spoke at the event and shared her experiences at the university. She expressed her satisfaction with the academic environment of SSU, the comfortable and safe conditions created in the student residence, as well as the support provided to international students. Finally, representatives of Malaysian universities made presentations about their higher education institutions and provided information on academic programs, master's and doctoral opportunities, scholarship programs for international students, as well as prospects for cooperation with SSU. The meeting created new opportunities for mutual cooperation, implementation of joint academic initiatives, expansion of scientific research activities and promotion of student-teacher exchange.
