On November 27, a meeting was held at Sumgayit State University (SSU) in order to provide information about the specialties offered by ADA University at the master’s level, new admission rules and scholarship programs. Vice-rector for Social Affairs and Public Relations, associate professor Elmar Khalilov opened the event, welcomed the guests and the participants and spoke about the joint cooperation between SSU and ADA University. He provided information about the education opportunities of Sumgayit State University, as well as its position in the international ranking. The Director of the Teaching Methodological Center, doctor of philosophy in economic, Elnara Mammadova stated that modern teaching strategies implementing at SSU play a role in students’ future career success. Then, an employee of the Student Admission Department of ADA, Mahnur Abbasova made a detailed presentation about the academic activity of the university, teaching model, master’s programs, new admission requirements, and scholarship opportunities. She also gave an information about international cooperation relations of ADA university, the innovative environment created for students and career support mechanisms. After that, a lecturer of ADA University, Aygun Huseynli gave a presentation about the topic of “Fundamentals of Academic Writing”. She brought to the attention of the participants important nuances such as the structure of academic writing, rules of working with resources, citation principles and formation of a scientific style. The event proceeded in an interactive format. Eventually, gifts were presented to active students.
