Sumgayit State University (SSU) participated in the "QS Stars" audit assessment conducted by the global rating agency "Quacquarelli Symonds" (QS). Based on the results, the university was rated 5 stars (excellent) in the Teaching and Good Governance categories. SSU which was evaluated in a total of 9 categories, received 4 stars for the criteria of Infrastructure (Facilities), Employability, Program Accreditation (Program Strength) and Environmental Impact, as well as 3 stars for the indicators of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Academic Development, resulting in an overall rating of 3 stars. It should be noted that "QS Stars" is an international rating system that evaluates the world's higher education institutions based on multi-faceted criteria. This audit process measures the performance of universities with objective indicators in areas such as teaching quality, scientific research, infrastructure, internationalization, employment opportunities, and other areas. The QS Stars assessment provides higher education institutions with an opportunity to showcase their strengths on an international scale and identify future development directions. This success, which is the result of purposeful activities carried out by the university's staff, is an indication of SSU's commitment to quality, transparent management, and sustainable development principles.
