On September 20-23, a delegation led by the acting rector of Sumgayit State University (SSU), corresponding member of ANAS, Professor Aminagha Sadigov, is participating in the "Belt and Road Universities Alliance Forum 2025" held in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, People"s Republic of China. On September 21, the delegation was also represented at the opening ceremony of the "8th International Silk Road Exhibition" organized within the framework of the Forum. The organizers of the exhibition, which has been held since 2016, are the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People"s Republic of China, the National Tourism Administration, and the People"s Government of Gansu Province. The event serves to expand cultural and academic cooperation among the "One Belt, One Road" countries. State officials, representatives of international organizations, public figures, and representatives of 95 universities from 24 countries around the world attended at the event. The main topics of the forum will be international cooperation between higher education institutions, the development of scientific and research projects, the creation of startup and innovation ecosystems, as well as the mutual exchange of students within the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Professor Aminagha Sadigov, spoke and emphasized that participation in such forums allows Sumgayit State University to strengthen its position in the global education space, expand its international partnership network, and take university-industry cooperation to a new stage. He noted that location of SSU in an industrial city, the university"s open strategy for innovations, and the role of it plays in regional development create a favorable environment for international coo peration.
