On March 18, the closing ceremony of the “Future Engineers” training was held program organized within the framework of the “Power of Tomorrow” project between Sumgayit State University (SSU) and STP Group of Companies in the direction of industry-university cooperation. Acting Rector Professor Aminaga Sadigov spoke about the importance of the “Future Engineers” training program implemented within the framework of mutual cooperation between the university and STP Group of Companies, and emphasized the support provided by SSU to such projects. He noted that Sumgayit State University, together with industrial enterprises, organizes internship programs for students, various trainings, conferences and student camps, thereby strengthening the university’s ties with industrial enterprises. Such events not only increase students’ interest in high-tech and innovative knowledge, but also develop their skills in the modern industrial field. Aminaga Sadigov also noted that Sumgayit, as an industrial city, provides SSU with personnel potential. The specialists trained by the university"s various faculties and specialties, especially in the fields of engineering and technology, meet the needs of industrial enterprises of Sumgayit. Director of the Career and Alumni Center, Nasiba Amirbayova made a presentation on the purpose, progress and results of the "Future Engineers" project. Executive Director of STP "Advanced Technologies", Rafig Huseynov spoke about how the joint cooperation of the industry and education sectors and said that this cooperation plays a very important role in the development of the engineering field. He emphasized that the long-term projects implemented between the two enterprises have made a great contribution to the application of engineering innovations, the gaining of experience by students and their close integration with the business world, and that this project will continue in the future. Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology of the Faculty of Engineering of SSU, Tunzala Babayeva, and students participating in the trainings - Gudrat Agazadeh, Nargiz Gafarova noted that the trainings are of great importance in terms of gaining both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of engineering. At the end, certificates were presented to SSU employees who actively participated in the training.
