On March 12, an event was held dedicated to “Gender equality in the modern world” by the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Opening the event, Sabir Alekberov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty, informed the participants about the importance and development of gender equality in the modern world. He noted that the gender problem and ensuring gender equality have been one of the important issues in the focus of humanity throughout history. It is no coincidence that one of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations by 2030 is precisely the achievement of gender equality. Sabir Alekberov stated that steps should be taken at both the individual and public levels to solve this issue and that inequalities should be eliminated with the joint efforts of the entire society. A video clip was shown about the topic. The event continued with a demonstration of a scene dedicated to the topic of gender equality in the modern world. Gulay Najafli, a student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, made an extensive speech on the topic. Then, a poem was performed by Sabina Amirli, a student of the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Then, psychologist Zohra Islamzadeh spoke about the important work being done to achieve gender equality in the world. Zohra Islamzadeh emphasized the importance of the role and responsibility of each individual in achieving gender equality.
