On February 13, a training info-session on the topic "Application of new rules for organizing students' professional practice" was held at Sumgayit State University with the presentation of the Teaching Methodological Center (TMC) for academic staff. Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, Associate Professor Elshad Abdullayev emphasized the importance of pedagogical and production practices in the educational life and professional development of students. He noted that pedagogical practice plays an indispensable role in the formation of students as specialists. Director of the Teaching Methodological Center, Associate Professor Osman Hajiyev, explaining the purpose of the info session, noted the importance of informing structural leaders about the application of new rules. He also emphasized the importance of providing methodological support aimed at more effective organization of pedagogical practice. Associate Professor Osman Hajiyev reported that specialist training is being conducted in 15 pedagogical specialties across 4 faculties at the university. He noted that a methodological manual “On the Organization of Students' Professional Practice” has been prepared, and at the same time, the diary and journal have been updated. Then, the leading specialist of the TMC, trainer Aynura Bagirova, made a presentation and provided detailed information about the essence and application mechanisms of the new rules. She drew attention to the issues of planning and conducting sample lessons during pedagogical practice, preparing and defending student reports at the end of the practice, as well as evaluating students' experiences. In the interactive session, the participants' questions were answered, and suggestions were also voiced on the topic.
