On December 19, the Faculty of Philology held an event titled ‘Ilyas Efendiyev’s World of Art’ dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Ilyas Efendiyev. Associate Professor Tora Mammadova opened the event with an introductory speech provided information about I.Efendiyev’s position in the literary world and his work. After the video clip reflecting I.Efendiyev’s life and work was shown, our students performed a small scene based on his works ‘In the Crystal Palace’ and ‘The Ruler and His Daughter’. This was followed by a speech on ‘The Karabakh Theme in Ilyas Efendiyev’s Dramaturgy’. The event participant, Associate Professor Boyukkhanim Eminli, made a speech and appreciated the work of the event participants highly. She emphasized that I.Efendiyev's works have not lost their relevance today, that they awaken national-spiritual and moral values in young people, and that they are important in preserving history and national values. At the end of the event, active students were presented with a book about I.Efendiyev's work by the writer's researcher, Tora Mammadova.
