On December 18, an event was held on the topic ‘Artificial Intelligence in Education: Educational Tools of the New Era’ at Sumgayit State University (SSU). The event was organized by the Department of Teaching Technology of Mathematics and Informatics. Shahla Huseynzadeh, associate professor of the Department made an opening speech and spoke about the purpose of the event and the widespread use of artificial intelligence today. She called on students to take advantage of the positive aspects of artificial intelligence. Rahima Alimammadova and Ilaha Gadimova, students of the Faculty of Mathematics presented a video about the life and work of Lutfi Zadeh, an Azerbaijani scientist who lived in the United States and the only person elected a lifetime professor of his institution in the field of artificial intelligence. During the event, an entertaining scene with a robot was organized. Then, Vusala Suleymanova, senior teacher of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Teaching Technology, delivered a speech on the topic ‘Gamification in Education: Interactive and Fun Learning with Kahoot’. Participants took part in an interactive survey conducted through the Kahoot application.
