On December 17, a meeting was held at Sumgayit State University on the topic of ‘Efficient use of water resources, modern scientific research methods used in water management’. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Water Reclamation Scientific Research Institute (WRSRI), the ‘Hakaton Azerbaijan’ company, as well as students studying in the field of Chemical Engineering and Ecology. First, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the university, Associate Professor Ulduz Aghayev made an opening speech. He emphasized that such meetings are important for increasing the knowledge of young people on environmental issues. Gunay Dunyamaliyeva, Head of the Doctoral Studies and Young Specialists Sector of the WRSRI, made a presentation and spoke about the activities of the Water Reclamation Scientific Research Institute, its research directions, international cooperation and the implemented projects. Then a presentation of the project was shown on the topic ‘Innovative approach of young people to natural resources, water and soil, their protection’. Ruslan Kazimov, the leading consultant of the Department of Supervision of Experimental and Research Stations of WRSRI, provided information about the purpose and plan of the project. It was emphasized at the event that a group of students from Sumgayit State University will pass a probation at the Water Reclamation Scientific Research Institute. At the end of the meeting, Associate Professor Tunzala Babayeva, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering and Ecology, made a speech and stated that the students are research-oriented and will cope with this work adequately.
