On November 28, Sumgayit State University (SSU) held a training on the topic “Benefits of the Civil Service: Changes and Perspective Plans” at the initiative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSP). The training was attended by Elchin Jafarov, head of the Training and Analysis sector of the Civil service and personnel affairs department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Hasanagha Huseynov, chief advisor of the department, Yusif Safarov, sector head of the State Labor Inspectorate Service under the Ministry, and senior students of the university, as well as graduate students. Ulker Velizadeh, an employee of the Career and alumni affairs center, made an opening speech and emphasized the importance of carrying out educational work on civil service, and gave the floor to Elchin Jafarov, head of the Training and Analysis sector of the Civil Service and personnel affairs department of the Office of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. The head of the sector provided detailed information on the work done to promote and encourage civil service in the “Action Plan for the Implementation of the Employment Strategy for 2020-2025”, approved by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Then, senior advisor Hasanagha Huseynov made a comprehensive presentation on civil service. In the first part of the presentation, information was provided on the principles of civil service, rights, obligations, guarantees for civil servants and the process of admission to civil service. In the second part, the directions of activity of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population were discussed.  At the end of the training, questions from students and graduate students on the topic were answered.
