On November 28, Leyla Nasirova, an assistant at the department of Mathematical Analysis and Differential Equations in the faculty of Mathematics at Sumgayit State University (SSU), conducted an open lesson on the topic “Example Solution of the Minor and Algebraic Complements of the Determinant” for Group No. 471, first-year students majoring in Mathematics Teaching. The lesson was attended by the dean of the faculty, heads of department, the chairman of the faculty’s methodological council, and other teachers. During the session, modern teaching methodologies such as case studies, auctions, carousels, and capping models were effectively utilized. These innovative techniques made the lesson engaging and interactive. The active use of both convergent and divergent thinking by students added creativity and dynamism to the learning experience. The methods and innovative approach employed by the young teacher, Leyla Nasirova, to make the lesson both effective and enjoyable, were highly praised by the participants.
