On October 21, a presentation of "Young Talents Program" of SOCAR" project was held at Sumgait State University (SSU).Associate professor Elshad Abdullayev, vice-rector for Science and Innovations of the university, opened the event and spoke about SOCAR"s projects and experience programs in the field of science and education. He urged the students to take advantage of this opportunity created by SOCAR management and to be active.Sadiq Sadigov, Deputy head of SOCAR"s Talent Management and Business Partnership department, made a speech and gave information about SOCAR"s activities, implemented projects and programs related to young people. He talked about the support provided by the "Young Talents Program" to the development of young people. He said that although SOCAR was created as an oil and gas company, it already aims to operate as an energy company.Orkhan Musayev, the leading human resources specialist of SOCAR"s recruitment and career planning department, made a presentation about the "Young Talents Program" and gave detailed information to the students about the program"s advantages, application rules, production experience, and prospects. He noted that in order to discover the potential of talented young people and accelerate their integration into the labor market, SOCAR will provide scholarships to young people studying in the III and IV courses of higher education institutions, as well as master"s degrees, from the 2022-2023 academic year, to ensure their development and high "Young Talents Program" was launched to provide employment to potential young people in SOCAR. Candidates who successfully pass the internship and the final selection stage are offered a job by SOCAR.Then a short video about the graduates who won the program was shown.Human resources and business partnership supervisor of "SOCAR Downstream Management" LLC, Ulvi Gulushov, emphasized that the SOCAR group supports the development of young people with highly specialized knowledge in accordance with the modern era of globalization and spoke about the importance of the program.Later, Nasiba Amirbeyova, director of the Career and Graduate Employment Center of SSU, made a speech and pointed out that SSU successfully continues its cooperation with many advanced industrial enterprises and organizes various trainings, programs and projects in order to train highly qualified personnel in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market. At the same time, our students are sent to take part in practice at SOCAR"s production facilities. The director of the center noted that "SOCAR Downstream Management" LLC provides constant support to SSU students in this direction.At the end, there was a broad exchange of ideas about the program.
