Let"s Stand Together for a Green World!" event organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Sumgait State University was held. Dean of the faculty, associate professor Rashad Salimov, opened the event and gave detailed information about the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the COP29 conference. He emphasized the great importance of this conference for both our country and the world, and noted the importance of joint fight against climate change and environmental problems. In his speech, Rashad Salimov commented on the goals and expected results of COP29 and called on students and teachers to actively participate in this topic. He emphasized the importance of international efforts to reduce the effects of climate change and reiterated the need for solidarity and cooperation in this direction. In the next part of the event, Khanahmad Hasanov, associate professor of the Department of Biology, gave a speech on the topic "Existence of the living world on the Earth and the origin of life". He drew attention to the importance of the diversity of living things on our planet, the balance of ecosystems and the preservation of biological diversity. Khanahmad Hasanov shared with the participants interesting scientific facts about the process of the creation of life, the development of living things and their role in ecosystems. At the end of the event, the participants discussed the reports by asking questions. Climate change, steps to be taken to protect biodiversity and the activity of the young generation in this field were the main topics of discussion of the event. The event was enriched by the active participation of the participants and the importance of joint action in the fight against climate change was once again emphasized. It should be noted that such events make an important contribution to increasing environmental awareness, forming environmental awareness.
