An info session about the V wave of the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center was held at SSU

Registration for the new V wave of the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center (ACSC) trainings, which was jointly established by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Agency for Innovation and Digital Development, and Israel"s "Technion" Institute of Technology, has begun. On October 11, an info session of ACSC was held at Sumgait State University. Associate professor Elshad Abdullayev, vice-rector for Science and innovation, spoke about the importance of training and stated that cyber threats are one of the biggest problems of the age of information technologies we live in. Serious measures are being taken in this field in our country. Conducting such training is of particular importance in order to protect against such cyber-attacks. Leyla Karimli, community manager of the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center, spoke at the training and gave information about the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center. Noting the importance of the projects implemented by the center, she called students to be active and join ACSC.Then Farzali Valiyev, a specialist of ACSC, made a presentation about the activities of the center he represents and the selection process. He said that the Azerbaijan Cyber Security Center was founded in 2023. Theoretical and practical knowledge is taught in parallel in the trainings conducted by a team of foreign trainers based on the training program of the Technion University. Training lasts up to 6 months. It is planned to train 60 specialists for each training period. 2 types of specialists are trained in trainings: Red Team and Blue Team. Those who successfully complete the training will receive an official certificate of the Technion University. The presentation provided extensive information about existing cyber threats. The trainer also drew attention to the start of "Purple team" training. He noted that the purpose of training is to form the highest level of knowledge and skills of cyber security personnel in the country. At the end of the event, the students showed activity and asked numerous questions to the representatives of ACSC.
