A group of employees of Sumgait State University participated in the 1st China-Azerbaijani International Scientific Conference held in Beijing on September 27-29 with the motto "Strengthen China-Azerbaijani relations in the spirit of the Silk Road". At the conference organized and hosted by Beijing Foreign Languages University (BFLU), Associate Professor Gunel Pashayeva, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Professor Nigar Isgenderova, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Associate Professor Aytekin Mammadova, Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, and Associate Professors of the Faculty - Tore Mammadova, Kamala Salamova, Sevinj Hamzayeva, senior teacher Aynura Bagirova, teacher Rufat Ibrahimov made various speeches in order to contribute to the scientific introduction of the ancient history, language and culture of Azerbaijan in China. At the opening ceremony, Gao Gang, vice-rector of Beijing Foreign Languages University, Bunyad Huseynov, Azerbaijan"s ambassador to China, Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University, chairman of the board of directors and trustees, Ding Tao, charge d"affaires of China in Azerbaijan in a video application format, president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, academician Isa Habibbeyli and the rector of Baku State University, associate professor Elchin Babayev spoke about the history and current state of relations between the two countries, and pointed out that the organized conference is of great importance in terms of promoting academic exchange between the two countries and jointly advancing "Bir Kemer, Bir Yol" cooperation. Within the framework of the visit, the conference participants were received by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to China, Bunyad Huseynov, in the embassy building. On the occasion of September 27 - Memorial Day, the memory of those who died for the Motherland was commemorated, a wreath was placed in front of the "Kharibulbul" memorial plaque, a symbol of victory.Then, accompanied by Bunyad Huseynov, he was closely acquainted with the embassy building and inspected the halls containing examples of the history and culture of Azerbaijan.
