Our employees who successfully completed the second wave of the "Researcher Connect Online" program were awarded certificates
From July 29 to August 9, 2024, 30 Azerbaijani researchers engaged in various scientific research activities participated in the second wave of the "Researcher Connect Online" program organized by the British Council.
On August 27, 2024, the researchers who successfully completed the training were invited to the residence of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Azerbaijan to participate in the certificate presentation ceremony.
Nargiz Hajiyeva, director of the British Council for Azerbaijan, opened the presentation ceremony with an introductory speech, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of the training for researchers.
Fergus Auld, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan, congratulated the participants in Azerbaijani and spoke about the purpose of the training. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary emphasized that it is useful to benefit from foreign experience by creating a network of researchers engaged in research from various higher education institutions and scientific research institutes in Azerbaijan and exchanging ideas with trainers of prestigious universities of the world.
Fergus Auld, who ended his speech by wishing the participants success in their scientific activities, and Nargiz Hajiyeva, director of the British Council for Azerbaijan, presented certificates to the participants.
Nasiba Amirbeyova, Director of Career and Graduate employment center at SSU, Nigar Isgenderova, head of the department of Foreign Languages, Gunel Valiyeva, Teacher of the department of Foreign languages, Sadagat Fatullayeva, senior lecturer of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and Political Science, and Leyla Shadlinskaya, an employee of the department of Differential equations and optimization, actively participated in the training.
The purpose of the program was to discuss the methods of innovative approaches in scientific work of researchers with English communication skills, the ability to increase activity over the international network, financial issues of scientific research, tested successful results in group discussions in seminar sessions. In two-week online interactive sessions lasting 3 hours per week, researchers met with trainers with various higher education experience, participated in discussions with specialists with experience in conducting scientific research and indexed publishing.
