On August 16, a delegation from Sumgait State University (SSU), led by rector associate professor Rufat Azizov, visited the Baku State Vocational Education Center for Industry and Innovation. The purpose of the visit was to explore opportunities for collaboration and to exchange insights on educational advancements.

The delegation was warmly received by Jeyhun Karamov, director of the State Agency for Vocational Education, who provided a comprehensive overview of the agency"s efforts to enhance vocational training and develop a competitive workforce. He elaborated on the various initiatives undertaken by the agency to improve the efficiency and quality of vocational education in Azerbaijan.

In response, rector Rufat Azizov shared detailed information about the ongoing developments at SSU. He emphasized how the university"s faculties have been updated to align with labor market demands, noting the adoption of modern teaching methodologies and the implementation of measures aimed at delivering high-quality education to students.

Following this, Shaban Jarchiyev, Director of the Baku State Vocational Education Center, delivered a presentation on the center"s activities. He highlighted the center’s specialized training programs across eight fields, the operation of 25 advanced technical laboratories, and the deployment of over 4,300 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment. He also discussed the center’s vocational training opportunities and the support mechanisms to guide students for making their career choices.

The meeting concluded with fruitful discussions on strengthening future collaboration between SSU and the Baku State Vocational Education Center. The SSU delegation also had the opportunity to tour the center’s laboratories, where they inspected the facilities and equipment firsthand.
