A MEETING WITH GRADUATES FROM SUMGAIT WAS HELD AT SSU
On July 8, Sumgait State University held a meeting with graduates from Sumgait who took part in the entrance exams to the country's higher education institutions.
The rector of SSU, docent Rufat Azizov, opened the meeting, which was held with the participation of the university management and faculty deans, and greeted them. The rector said: "Getting acquainted with our university will give each of you a full impression of SSU and will have a say in your decision about which higher education institution to get your education in."
Rufat Azizov, who spoke about the university's cooperation with industrial centers and other organizations in the city, spoke about the role of the cooperation in the lives of university students and graduates. The cooperation with the companies such as: SOCAR Downstream and Azerikimya PU, SOCAR Carbamide, SOCAR Polymer, Sumgayit Technology Park (STP), BP, Azertechnoline and Technol companies, Gilan Tekstil, Nobel Energy, Azersun Holding's factories, as well as Azerishiq OJSC, Azerenergy OJSC, Kapital Bank plays for our students not only in their internships, but also in their future careers.
Speaking about the student-oriented policy of SSU, Rufat Azizov pointed out that every student who chooses our university for higher education is provided with wide opportunities in parallel with quality education. Informing about the SABAH groups, which will start working at the university in the 2024/25 academic year, both at the bachelor's and master's level, the rector noted that these groups have already become a brand, and emphasized that the number of people studying for master's programs in this academic year has increased from 115 to 264. Rector Rufat Azizov noted that the cooperation of SSU with a number of foreign universities gives students the opportunity to participate in international internship programs, to study abroad within the framework of various exchange programs, and to undergo scientific internships.

Later, the representatives of the faculties at the university gave extensive information about the faculties.
Associate professor Aynura Yahyayeva, dean of the faculty of Economics and Management, who explained why choosing SSU is attractive in several aspects, urged the young people at the meeting to choose SSU for higher education.
In his speech, vice rector for Social affairs and public relations of the university Elmar Khalilov thanked the Khizi-Absheron Regional Education department and its management for their efforts in organizing the meeting of the students with the university management and its community. Elmar Khalilov said that all conditions have been created at the university for the development of talented and hardworking students, and students who scored more than 500 points in the entrance exams this year will be given an additional 200 manat scholarship by SSU.
Later, with the participation of SSU collaborators, the students visited the faculties and various social structures of the university.
