THE WINNERS OF THE SUBJECT OLYMPIAD ON THE HISTORY OF AZERBAIJAN AMONG THE STUDENTS OF SSU WERE AWARDED

 On June 28, Sumgait State University held an awarding ceremony for the winners of the subject Olympiad on the history of Azerbaijan held among students of the 9th-11th grades of Sumgait city schools under the motto "Karabakh is Azerbaijan" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the city of Sumgait.
Associate professor Elmar Khalilov, vice-rector for Social affairs and public relations of the university, congratulated the students who won the Olympiad, their teachers and parents. He said that state programs and reforms in all fields of education are successfully implemented in our country. Such programs create conditions for students who are distinguished by their talent and ability in general education schools to get an effective education, to develop as personalities, and to choose the right profession. Of course, there are many talented students in all schools. You just need to find them, guide them correctly, and develop their abilities. In this direction, Sumgait State University also fulfills its great mission and regularly organizes subject Olympiads for students. The main purpose of conducting such Olympiads is to identify specially talented students, as well as to create a foundation for them to demonstrate their knowledge and skills and prepare for the choice of profession.
After the vice-rector's speech, the winners of the Olympiad were announced.
According to the results of the Olympiad, Muhammed Guliyev, a 9th-grade student of Tafakkur Lyceum, Nusrat Mustafazade, a 10th-grade student of comprehensive high school No. 27, Israil Hasanzade, a 11th-grade student of comprehensive high school No. 9, and 11th grade of comprehensive high school No. Elmir Dadashzade, 2nd grade student, Ilkin Jafarli, 9th grade student of Tafakkur Lyceum, Mail Zamanov, 10th grade student of secondary school No. 23, Jamal Rzayev, 11th grade student of Secondary School No. 21, 3rd place Guljan Ismayilova, a 9th-grade student of comprehensive secondary school No. 1, Aytac Bakhshaliyeva, a 10th-grade student of TETG, Mirza Mirzayev, a 11th-grade student of comprehensive secondary school No. 12, were awarded with appropriate certificates and gifts.
Dean of the faculty of History and geography professor Adil Bakhshaliyev, head of the department of history of Azerbaijan and Eastern European Peoples professor Shirkhan Salimov congratulated the students in the knowledge competition and wished them success in their educational life.
It should be noted that 360 students from 39 schools operating in the city of Sumgait participated in the Olympiad on the history of Azerbaijan.
