On the initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, organized by the Absheron-Khizi Regional Youth and Sports Department, on the occasion of the World Bicycle Day, a bicycle rally was held on June 3, 2024 in the city of Sumgait and Absheron region with the participation of representatives of the sports community and amateur cyclists. More than 200 amateur athletes participated in the procession, which was also attended by students of Sumgait State University. The bicycle march started in front of the Heydar Aliyev Center in Sumgait city (distance 7.7 km) was concluded on Sumgait boulevard, and the bicycle march started in front of ‘Fatmayi Sports Club’ in Absheron district (distance 3.4 km) was concluded in Fatmayi village.
