On May 29, a fencing competition among students dedicated to the ‘Green World Solidarity Year’ was held at Sumgait State University. First, the vice-rector for social issues and public relations of the university, associate professor Elmar Khalilov, greeted the participants and wished success to the participants, emphasizing that holding such competitions is great importance in terms of ensuring and promoting the mass of sports among students.  Then the head of the Sports Club, associate professor Zakir Mammadov, talked about the sports competitions held at SSU and said that successful steps are being taken in the direction of increasing the mass of sports at SSU. It includes fencing, chess, football, badminton, table tennis, shooting, etc. After the speeches, the competitions started.
