An info session was held by representatives of the ‘British Council’ organization at SS

On May 20, an info session for employees was held at the university with the support of the Language and Translation Center of Sumgait State University, organized by the Azerbaijan branch of the British Council.

Opening the event with an introductory speech, the director of the Language and Translation Center, Zhala Mammadova, introduced the guests to the session participants and talked about the prospects of the cooperation between the ‘British Council’ company and SSU.

Sevinj Aghazadeh, head of the English language project for corporate clients of the British Council, informed the university employees about the course and said that the project is designed to increase the level of English language skills. It was noted that the lessons will last for 160 academic hours, and each lesson will last three times a week for 2 hours and 30 minutes. It

was emphasized that the course will take three months in the summer of the current year, and at the end, the APTIS test will be held, which will determine the development of employees.

Also, at the event, the division of groups prepared on the basis of the results of the APTIS test exam, in which 40 employees of SSU participated on May 2, was announced.

Then, according to the test results, employees were divided into two groups according to their language levels, and training tasks were presented to them.
