The youth policy, which was founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev, is successfully continued today. May 10, 2024 marks the 101st anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev. As a sign of respect for the anniversary of the great leader's birth, in order to educate students of higher educational institutions in the spirit of national patriotism, respect for our culture, art, and national traditions, the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Presidium of the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Azerbaijan Education Workers decided to 3 -stage artistic creativity competition-festival dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev was started among students.

On May 7, the final concert of the contest-festival winners was held in the Palace named after Heydar Aliyev. The competition-festival was attended by self-active creative collectives, associations and studios consisting of students studying in formal departments of higher education institutions operating in the republic, solo performers, amateur singers, dancers, artistic reciters, musicians, as well as orchestras and ensembles, dance groups.

As every year, talented students of Sumgait State University represented our university in national dance, artistic recitation and song nominations in accordance with the Regulations of the competition.
