Rector of Sumgayit State University Rufat Azizov and the university management visited the "Gilan Textile Park" on November 6, and met with the general director Esmin Khalilov, the head of the human resources department Allahverdi Bagirov, and the management staff. During the meeting, students of the university had production experience at the enterprise, prospects of cooperation in various directions, writing of new educational programs and the importance of practice-oriented cooperation were emphasized. The directions of joint cooperation in the direction of increasing the scientific potential of engineering students and preparing them as high-quality specialists were widely discussed. Operating in Sumgayit since 2012, it is built with the only vertical integration system not only in Azerbaijan but also in the South Caucasus region and includes a spinning factory, two weaving factories, two dyeing factories, a sewing factory and a medical mask factory. In GiLTEX LLC, an agreement was reached on organizing excursions for university students and educating them in this field. Currently, the enterprise produces yarn, various types of fabric, bedding, textile products, towels, knitted products, blankets, pillows, as well as fire and waterproof special clothing, uniforms for various purposes, military and hospital clothing, gowns, etc. is being produced. The main topic of the meeting was the opportunities that could be offered to SSU engineering students.
