Students of Engineering Faculty of Sumgayit State University have participated in the Robot Olympiad VI, which has started on the 1st of September at the Baku National Gymnastics Arena and lasted for 3 days. 160 teams representing higher education institutions, colleges and schools of Azerbaijan have participated in the Olympiad which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the World Robot Olympiad Association and the Azerbaijan Robotics Engineering Academy (AREA). The sophomores of the Engineering Faculty, Amin Najafli and Ravan Maharramli have represented Sumgayit State University at the Robot Olympiad VI. The team of SSU has won the second place in the highly competitive Robot Olympiad and has been awarded a cash prize of 2,000 manats. It should be noted that the winner teams of the Robot Olympiad VI will represent our country at the World Robot Olympiad, which will be held in the Republic of Panama on November 7-9 of this year.
